Step 2: Orientation for OU Team Members

Hello and welcome to the University of Oklahoma. We are happy to have you!

First, let’s confirm that you have completed your Onboarding process for the campus from which you are paid. If you have visited the Norman Onboarding or the Oklahoma City Onboarding page, viewed those videos and completed the next steps for each of those videos, please select one or more of the buttons listed below to begin your Orientation process. If you are a new faculty member, please contact your department chair regarding your orientation process.

Unlike your Onboarding process, your Orientation process is centered around the campus at which you will perform your new role. To begin your orientation process, select your main campus, download the New Employee Orientation checklist, and view all associated videos and resources. Next, return to review the Orientation videos of the subsequent campuses where you will work, visit often, or want to learn more. You only need to complete the New Employee Orientation checklist for your main campus.


Haven’t completed your Onboarding Process Yet?


If you have not completed your Onboarding process for the campus from which you are paid, please select from the two options below. If you are paid through the Norman campus, select the Norman onboarding button. If you are paid through the Oklahoma City campus, select the OKC onboarding button. If you are unsure, please check with your supervisor, Payroll Coordinator, or designated team member to confirm before you continue. If you are a new faculty member, please contact your department chair regarding your onboarding process.

Have you completed both Onboarding and Orientation?

You may begin the required training and orientation classes as soon as you receive your Network ID/ Username/ OU NET ID and password. These specific courses are listed on your New Employee Orientation checklist. You can also view the required training courses online by selecting Required Training at the top of this page.

Lastly, ask your supervisor what other additional training is required for your position in order to complete orientation. Then, make a plan with your supervisor to complete those courses within the first 90 days of your employment.
